Delete your Additive Check account

Option 1: in the app (fastest)

1. Open Additive Check and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. In the Account section, tap Delete account.
4. Confirm. Your account and data are removed straight away.

Option 2: by email, without the app

If you can no longer open the app, or you have uninstalled it, email us from the address you signed up with:

Email a deletion request

The subject should be Delete my Additive Check account, and it must come from the email address on the account, so we know the request is yours. We will delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm when it is done.

If you only want some data removed, for example your photos but not your account, say so in the email.

What is deleted

• Your account: your email address and password hash.
• Every profile, including names, allergies and health conditions.
• Your scan history and results, and the text read from your photos.
• All the label photos you uploaded.
• Your reports of wrong results, and your usage records.

What is kept

• Shared catalogue entries. Product details from labels (brand, name, ingredients, additives, nutrition) belong to the shared catalogue, which carries no link to you. These remain.
• Backups, for up to 14 days. Our rolling backups can still hold a copy of your data for up to 14 days after deletion. They are then overwritten.
• Email delivery logs. Our email provider, Brevo, may keep records of the sign-up and password-reset emails it sent you for the period its own policy sets.
